THE music magazine industry has suffered more than most in recent times.
Just two months ago, iconic Q magazine folded after 34 years, and NME is only available online.
Glasgow-born Eve Barlow, the 33-year-old former deputy editor of NME and former contributing editor for Q, is more than sad to see the demise of the industry.
She told me from her home in Los Angeles: “Because of Q, I travelled all over America. It was the first magazine I bought.
“When I got my first and last magazine cover for Q, I had to go to New York.
“I was the first person to interview the last two remaining members of the Beastie Boys (Michael Diamond and Adam Horovitz) after Adam Yauch died.”
