Website explores Sudanese heritage

IT seemed like an innocuous point to make when I stated that Sephardi food is superior to Ashkenazi fayre.

While that is certainly true, Daisy Abboudi is determined that her culture is not just about its food.

For she is the daughter of Sudanese Jews; her grandparents left the country in the 1960s.

Yet, even within the UK Jewish community, she has found people shocked that Jews from Sudan actually exist.
