Naked ambition led to Saul taking his place in the history of Britpop

THE music industry has changed beyond recognition for record label boss Saul Galpern.

And Glasgow-born Saulís achievements at the helm of Nude Records over almost 30 years could even see him be forgiven for discovering Simply Red.

As well as giving Mick Hucknallís band the base from which they went on to sell millions of albums, Saul also discovered Britpop legends Suede; gave Supergrass their sound; and missed out on signing Arctic Monkeys.
