West End trip showed Ofra dreams could come true

OFRA Daniel was 16 when she shed tears after watching Blood Brothers in London’s West End.

But they were not tears of sadness, rather the realisation that there was an exciting world outside her crime-hit Israeli home town.

And, more than 30 years later, Ofra has made her dreams come true as an acclaimed multi-disciplinary artist and creator.

She will bring her production A Song of Songs to London’s Park Theatre from May 9 to June 15.

A winner of The San Francisco Critics Award for the best new production, Ofra plays young wife Tirzah, who is in a loveless marriage, but discovers she has an unseen admirer.
