Kabbala expert too to music in pandemic

AS a child in Soviet Ukraine, Eduard Shyfrin knew he was Jewish — but had no idea what that meant.

Atheism was the communist state ‘religion’ and practising a faith was not allowed.

But, decades on, and Eduard leads a very Jewish life, keeping kosher and putting on tefillin every day.

There are many more strings to his bow, however.

For Eduard is an prolific writer on Kabbala, an entrepreneur and a metallurgical engineer.

And he has added music to his talents, as the founder of a new musical group — Shyfrin Alliance — which features his original music, compositions and songwriting.

Their single Whiskey Blues was released last week, while their album, Upside Down Blue, will be available from May 24.
