NICKY Kelvin can still remember the moment he fell in love with aviation vividly.
He was with his family at an airport waiting for a flight to Israel.
But, instead of being excited at the thought of a holiday in the Jewish state, his mind was elsewhere.
“It wasn’t about the beach or which hotel we were going to stay in — it was about what kind of plane we would be flying on,” London-based Nicky said.
“For example, we would fly El Al from Manchester on either a 757 or 767 and this was in the days before the internet, so I wouldn’t know which one it would be until we reached the airport.”
