Zack uses barmitzvah to remember Harry, 11

Zackery Lee, who celebrated his barmitzvah at the United Hebrew Congregation on Shabbat, became a guardian of the memory of Harry Knopfelmacher, who died in the Holocaust at 11.

Zack, the son of Lisa and Jamie Lee, of Alwoodley, has two younger brothers Aaron and Mason.

Present at the barmitzvah were grandparents Shelley and Stephen Lee, Naomi and Paul Ross, Marsha and Steven Shonn and great-grandmother Maureen Lewis.

The LJFS pupil is a karate black belt and is at grade four on the classical guitar. He also enjoys gaming and going to the gym.

Guests at the simcha included those who had travelled from Toronto, Canada.
