AS the glorious vista of the snow-topped Alps looms ahead, overlooking the clear waters of Lake Wolfgangsee and the surrounding verdant pastures, I’m tempted to burst into song: “The hills are alive with the sound of music”.
I’m en route to Salzburg, Austria’s fourth city, famous as the birthplace of Mozart, but perhaps equally renowned over the past six decades as the location of that evergreen blockbuster, The Sound of Music.
