DENISE Stallman and her cousin Mike Yaffey are researching the history of their grandmother Dora Hardman (nee Priceman).

Their great-grandmother Ann Priceman lived in Liverpool with daughter Betsy, aged 18.

In 1901, Ann Priceman was a widow aged 55 from Latvia and had seven children altogether.

A family member told Denise that Dora went to live in North Wales with her brother David.

Other Pricemans in the UK in 1901 included Morris, his wife Becky and daughter Emily.

"We do not know the name of Emily's husband, but they had two sons, Eric and Lionel, and they lived in Liverpool," Denise said. "These would be our second cousins."

Dora's brother David married Ettie and they had 10 children. At one time, they lived at 30 Bignor Street, Cheetham Hill.

Another of Dora's brothers was Harry, who married Sarah. They had a daughter Doris, who married Sidney Feather and they had two sons.

They had a shop at 123 Trafford Road, Manchester. I did hear talk of them and their son , Albert, who I think had connections with Blackpool or Lytham St Annes.

There was another branch of the family, the Leaches. Denise's grandmother's sister Betsy married an Israel Leach.

They had at least one son, Leslie, who died some years ago, and had a son, Ian, who lives in Hong Kong.

CHARLOTTE Wilson wants to find relatives of her grandfather Marcus Leoplod Wolfson.

The 1901 Census showed that her great grandfather William Harry Woolfson lived at 39 Steward Street. He was 14 years old and lived with nine brothers and sisters and the head of family was Joseph Woolfson. They had a domestic servant Harry Norvall Man.

William Harry Thomas, aged 24, married Lillian Jane thomas, aged 22, on January 29, 1912. They then had Marcus.

Lillian left the family and moved to America.

Marcus was sent to Nazareth House Oprhanage around 1918. He left as a Woolfson and there are no records of the change of name to Wilson.

He was sent to Southampton and separated from his nine brothers and sisters.
