THE Office of the Administrator General and Official Receiver in Israel wants to trace relatives of Philip Goldberg, who died in Leeds on December 4, 1987, in Donisthorpe Hall, leaving a son, Michael, who died childless in Israel in 1995. Philip is believed to have had brothers and sisters.

Is it Ruth's dad?

RUTH BIRD, of Manchester, took a special interest in Eli Weller's photograph last week of the foundation ceremony of the Manchester Central Synagogue in 1928.

She believes that her father, Abraham Jaffe, is pictured at the back on the left. Abraham came from Russia and lived in Bignor Street, Cheetham Hill.

He was born in 1887 and died in 1969.
