Francesca was seeking legal advice when she telephoned criminal defence lawyer Andrew.

They later got together and, two years later, were married at Lake Maggiore, Italy, by Rabbi Alfonso Arbib, the Chief Rabbi of Milan.

Francesca, the daughter of Janet and Adrian Goldstone, of Whitefield, is a beauty and skincare specialist, while Andrew is the son of Doreen and Brian Cowan, of Prestwich.

Best man was the groom's brother Richard Cowan.

The bride's grandmother, Joyce Goldstone, and the groom's grandmother, Estelle Cowan, joined in the celebrations, as did guests from the UK.

After a honeymoon cruising the Italian coast, the couple have settled in Salford.
