BRITAIN and Israel were united when Debbie Phillips and Aviel Ben Ami were married at Nof Hayarden, in Mitzpeh Jericho, by Rabbi Shmuel Pariente.
Debbie, the daughter of Lucille and Leon Phillips, of Whitefield, is a student at David Yellin College, where she is studying special education for severely disabled children.
Aviel, the son of Yehudit and Shlomo Ben Ami, of Efrat, works in security.
Bridesmaids were the bride's sisters Rachel Shafar and Hannah Phillips, as well as Lisa Jacobs, Jessica Borkin, Lidor Tamir and Moria Ben Ami.
Among the guests were Debbie's brother Adam and grandparents Valerie and Harold Saffer, of Leeds.
Aviel's brothers, Daniel, Netanel and Ariel, and his grandparents Yehuda Klopfer and Janet Ben Ami also joined in the celebrations.
KASSY COHEN and Austin Glass married in Hadera, Israel - eight years after meeting on an Aish trip to New York.
Primary school teacher Kassy is the daughter of the late Rosie Cohen, and Londoner Emmanuel Cohen, while project co-ordinator Austin is the son of Barbara and Nicholas Glass, of Whitefield.
Best man was Kassy's brother David and the groom's brother Spencer.
The couple, who were also joined by family and friends from Sweden and Italy, have settled in Hertfordshire after a honeymoon in Eilat.
