Eva, a dental hygienist and therapist, is the daughter of Claire and Steven Goodman, of Sunnybank, while James, an environmental scientist, is the son of Brenda and Glenn Brookes, of Prestwich.

Bridesmaids were the bride's sister Chloé Goodman, and Mia and Ella Alex. Best men were Adam Selby and Simon Nesbit.

After a honeymoon in Mauritius, the couple have settled in Brighton.
