RANGERS supporter Matthew Nathan felt on top of the league as he celebrated his barmitzvah at Beth Hamidrash Hagadol Synagogue in Leeds.
The Leeds Jewish Free School student, the son of Melanie and Nik Nathan, also follows the fortunes of English Premier League leaders Liverpool.
As well as playing football for Leeds Maccabi, Matthew enjoys golf and swimming.
Joining in the celebrations were his younger brother Joel, grandparents June and Harvey Hyman, of Glasgow, Norma and David Nathan, of Liverpool, and great-grandfather Stanley Orchant, as well as guests from Palm Springs.
Due to poor health, great-grandmother Estelle Orchant was unable to attend the simcha.
