Hitman Jacob is on target

FOOTBALL star Jacob Ross had the crowds cheering on Saturday as he celebrated his barmitzvah.

Mearns Castle High School pupil Jacob, a Glasgow Rangers fan, is captain for Maccabi U-14s and was the top goalscorer for the 2008-09 season.

The son of Mandy and Garry Ross, of Newton Mearns, Jacob was barmitzvah at Newton Mearns Hebrew Congregation.

Joining in the celebrations were brothers Gabriel, 14, and Gideon, three, sister Jessica, 10, and grandparents Ruthie Sakol and Gloria and Irving Joseph.

Guests travelled from London, Northampton, Dublin and America to attend.

Hospital meeting

AFTER first crossing paths in a ward in Barnet Hospital, DAVID WOOLF and DANIELLE WARNER have got married.

For David, son of MELANIE and TONY WOOLF, of Hale, is a doctor while Danielle, daughter of PAULETTE and BRIAN WARNER, of Prestwich, is an occupational therapist.

They were married at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Accrington, by Rabbi Joel Portnoy.

Best men were DANIEL COHEN and JON ELLENBOGEN, while maid of honour was NICOLE ROSE.

ELI ROSE was pageboy and bridesmaids were ZOE, JENNA and REBECCA WARNER, as well as ELIANA COHEN and ADINA ROSE.

Joining in the celebrations were grandparents PAMELA and SONNY WARNER and guests from Israel and America.

After a honeymoon in Singapore and Malaysia, the couple will settle in Mill Hill, London.

Same sedra for David

THERE was something special about David Sultman's barmitzvah at the weekend.

For the Everton fan recited the same sedra - Re'ea - as his late grandfather Manny Boher did at his barmitzvah.

David, the son of Nicky and Elliot Sultman, of Calderstones, celebrated his big day at Allerton Hebrew Congregation.

A pupil at King David High School in Manchester, the tennis and football enthusiast was joined on his big day by sisters Ruth, 11, and nine-year-old Hadassah, as well as grandmother Naida Boher.
