Newlyweds setting up home in America

AMERICA-bound Emma Charlton and Warren Herscovitz married at The Old Swan, Harrogate, last week.

Emma, of Alwoodley, is the daughter of Jennie Sapherson, while Warren, who works for an international paper product importers, is the son of Ivan and Rita Herscovitz, also of Alwoodley.

Warren's grandmother, Joan Yates, of Harrogate, attended the simcha with family and guests from Atlanta, Florida, Germany, Holland and Switzerland.

His younger brother, Jared, was best man. Emma's niece, Kitty Meadmore, was flower girl.

The couple, who met in Leeds through Emma's brother, Jamie, five years ago, are settling in Atlanta where Warren is based.


Steven pleads guilty to falling in love

LAWYER Steven Burman was guilty of love in the first degree when he met Jennifer Rabstaff at a party in south Manchester in 2009.

Two years later, the couple were married at Hale and District Hebrew Congregation by Rabbi Joel Portnoy.

Steven, the son of Linda and Paul Burman, of Mere, Cheshire, is a lawyer, while Jennifer, a linguistics student at Salford University, is the daughter of Susan and Graham Rabstaff, of Prestwich.

Best men were David Klass and David Robinson. Pageboys were the groom's nephews Ben and Charlie Burman.

Bridesmaids were Miri Klass, Olivia Barres, Katie Jason and Iona Barnett.

Joining in the celebrations were the bride's grandmother Marion Pearl and husband Monty, as well as guests from Israel.

After a honeymoon cruise in the Mediterranean and Sardinia, the couple have settled in Hale.
