Eagle’s wing remembers an heroic policewoman

ON a particularly beautiful recent winter's day, ascending the Carmel mountain range at Nesher - a city that these days sits cheek to cheek with the northern approaches of Haifa - keeping one’s eyes on the steep road ahead proved somewhat difficult as eye-popping incredible views appeared below with each twist and turn in the road.

The higher one ascends, spectacular views sweepingly open up over the tree tops and high-rise buildings — onward, and upward north along the flat as a pancake coastal plain towards the mountain range-border with Lebanon in the relatively near distance.

First and foremost coming in to view from above is the gigantic Haifa port, sitting snuggly at the bottom of the mountain.
