It is in honour of 15 female soldiers serving in the IDF’s 414 Observation Unit who tragically lost their lives in the brutal Hamas attack on October 7, 2023.

The mainly unarmed girls — either in their teens or barely out of them — lost their lives while on duty manning a bank of surveillance equipment at the command centre in their base, situated less than a kilometre from the Israel-Gaza border.
