WHEN Tel Aviv’s famous Tandoori Restaurant was faced with having to move from its iconic position next to Dizengoff Circle, it must have been concerning for its owners.
It had occupied the site for decades, was famed for its business lunch buffet and attracted walk-in diners from the bustling tourist area.
But far from the forced move proving detrimental, the Indian eaterie, now named Tandoori Lands End, has actually flourished. It soon re-established itself on the promenade in Herbert Samuel Street, directly opposite Tel Aviv's iconic beach, making it even more accessible to tourists and locals.
