Interesting sites as I walk to Beersheba's Old City

BEERSHEBA, where in Biblical times the patriarchs Abraham, Isaac and Jacob dwelled, is in historical terms one of the oldest cities in Israel.

In present times, Beersheba is a fascinating, if somewhat arid, modern day metropolis known to Israelis by the moniker of ‘Capital of the Negev’, home to the world famous Ben-Gurion University, the Soroka Medical Centre and many high-tech and other prestigious industries.
