Bahrain brings Jewish rituals into the open

WHEN Jews around the world took part in the recently-ended High Holy Day season, the small Jewish communities in six Gulf states arranged traditional holiday rituals for the first time in decades.

Yes, history was made in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

This newfound openness is a direct result of the Abraham Accords signed a year ago between Israel, the UAE and Bahrain, followed by Sudan and Morocco.
